These rings are forged from reclaimed nails—specifically chosen for their ability to be heated, moved, and set while maintaining structural integrity. It is the transmutation of a common fastener into functional, wearable art. Reclaimed nails offer a structural integrity that mass-produced jewelry wire lacks. We take steel destined for a landfill and forge it back into something that will last a lifetime.
Each piece is one-of-a-kind! Due to the nature of forging, every ring will have unique variations, whether it be subtle hammer marks or slight color changes due to heat.
1. Choose Your Artifact (Band Style)
(Choose 1 from both A and B)
A:
Straight Band: A clean, classic profile. The nail is drawn out and rounded for a smooth, uniform fit.

Twist Band: The steel is brought to a yellow heat and physically twisted. This increases the surface area and adds a unique pattern to the ring.

B:
Enclosed circlet: A seamless, continuous loop forged for maximum security and a classic silhouette. This style offers a traditional, solid feel on the finger, representing a complete and finished work of metalcraft that emphasizes the raw strength of the material.

Overlapping circlet: A dynamic bypass design where the forged metal ends wrap past one another in a deliberate coil. This creates a striking, multi-layered profile that allows the band to taper elegantly, highlighting the hand-hammered texture of the iron from every angle.
2. Choose Your Finish
The Rough Finish (Forge Scale): The ring is left as it came out of the fire. It retains the dark, blackened iron-oxide “scale” created at 2,000°F. It is gritty, dark, and raw. Over time, the high points will naturally buff against your skin, creating a unique patina.

Silver-like Shine (Polished): I take a high-speed wire wheel to the steel. It removes the scale and reveals the bright, rustic luster underneath. It looks like “old silver” but carries the strength and weight of steel.
3. Choose Your Gemstone
I offer 15 different stone options to be set into the steel:

Technical Specs & Care:
Material: Reclaimed high-carbon or mild steel nails (depending on current scrap stock).
Sizing: Custom-sized to your order. Please ensure your measurement is accurate; steel is much harder to “stretch” than gold or silver once the stone is set.
Maintenance: This is iron-based. If kept in a humid environment or worn in saltwater without being dried, it can develop rust. I treat every ring with a natural beeswax finish, and the natural oils from your skin creates a barrier against rust. But, if the ring needs to be stored for an extended period, or it gets covered in salt water, I recommend using a light coating of olive oil or beeswax. If rust does form, a wire brush or 200 grit sandpaper will remove it easily
